3.2 Editorial Queue Detail

Design rationale: The three-panel layout is a proven pattern for content management (think email clients). The left sidebar provides system-wide navigation so reviewers can jump between Review Queue, Processing, and Library without losing context. The center list is tight enough to show all 8 pending items at once. The right detail pane has everything needed for a decision: full preview, all three crop variants, and platform-specific captions with character counts and inline editing.

Design rationale: Compressing the center list to a thumbnail-only filmstrip gives the detail pane maximum real estate. The 280px-tall preview is large enough to assess image quality, composition, and lighting. Tabbed caption editing reduces vertical scroll in the detail pane. The "Regenerate" link lets reviewers request a new AI caption without leaving the review flow. This layout works best when visual quality assessment is the primary decision factor.

Design rationale: The expandable card pattern removes the cognitive load of tracking "which item am I viewing?" across two separate panels. Everything for a single asset -- preview, variants, captions, and actions -- is self-contained in its card. The tradeoff is that expanded cards push collapsed items below the fold, requiring more scrolling. Best for teams that prefer sequential, one-at-a-time review over rapid scanning. The "Approve All Visible" button in the header accommodates batch operations.
